Direct primary care physicians have smaller, patient-centered practices and see fewer patients each day. This translates into more time to spend with you! We believe that the patient-physician relationship is sacred and serves as the foundation for delivering excellent healthcare. Time spent developing this relationship is an investment in your health. We have a passion for patient care and look forward to partnering with you to achieve your healthcare goals. A limited practice size also means better access, allowing you to schedule your care at times that are most convenient for you, and assures that we will be available when you need us. You will also experience virtually no waiting when you arrive for unrushed visits in our well appointed office. This access extends beyond our office hours with guidance for health issues that arise unexpectedly after hours and cannot wait until the office reopens. With your consent, the smart use of technology such as text messaging, FaceTime and e-mail can be utilized to assist us in your care when appropriate.
In most practices, forty cents of every healthcare dollar is spent on insurance compliance and processing rather than your care. At Uncommon Healthcare we forgo these expenses and pass the savings on to you in the form of low monthly membership rates with no co-pays or facility fees for exceptional and unlimited care in our office. Because we offer a broad scope of services and have time to provide them, the majority of your healthcare needs can be met in our office, thereby reducing the inconvenience and expense related to multiple specialty referrals. Additionally, physician access and highly personalized care result in DPC patients traditionally having fewer costly ER visits and hospital admissions. If prescription drug costs are a concern, we will work with you to develop the most cost effective medication regimen possible. Members also receive deeply discounted rates for lab tests, imaging studies and other selected services.
Because we practice independently and do not participate in commercial insurance plans, Medicare or Medicaid, third party influence and intrusion into your medical care are essentially eliminated. This allows your physician the privilege of focusing on you and your needs without distraction. Additionally, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services' mandatory reporting programs, required of all physicians participating in these plans, do not apply to our practice. This leaves your personal health information protected and secure in our office. Information about you will never be transmitted without your consent.
